Evangelicals Fear the Loss of Their Teenagers

Spotting the headline I was almost hopeful: perhaps today's kids are seeing through the monotheist sham at long last. But, alas, having read the entire article, it looks more like a case of the usual hysterical "persecution" complex that modern Christianity seems to have developed.

The description of the "youth ministries" devoted to solving this supposed problem are scary enough, however, and offer an insight into the techniques used to foster guilt and shame, the primary recruiting tools of the church.

Evangelical Christian leaders are warning one another that their teenagers are abandoning the faith in droves.

Baseball pioneer Buck O'Neil dies

Hopefully he'll make it to the Hall someday - this man was one of the giants of the game. RIP.

Buck O'Neil, the goodwill ambassador for the Negro Leagues who fell one vote shy of the Hall of Fame, died Friday night. He was 94.
