'Goat sucker' actually a hairless coyote

Here's an update to this post from September. My only remaining question: who's to say la chupacabra isn't [just] a hairless coyote?

The results are in: The ugly, big-eared animal found during the summer in southern Texas is not the mythical, bloodsucking chupacabra. It's just a plain old coyote.

New Apple Trojan Means Mac Hunting Season Is Open

What's most interesting to me about this is not the target (Macs), it's the vector: a bogus codec. Because nearly all codecs are under some sort of patent protection, there's been a proliferation of codec "packs" and other utilities, and users are more or less forced to download them if they want to stay current with their multimedia applications.

I'd wager this won't be the last time we see this ruse employed, regardless of the targeted system.

A new Trojan aimed at taking money from Mac OS X users means that online criminals think Apple users are now plentiful enough to target, security researchers say.
