2 Somalis killed for watching World Cup

Remember, these are the folks whose religion we must respect, because it's "The Religion of Peace". And come to think of, graveyards are usually pretty peaceful ...

AP - Radical Islamic militia fighters in Somalia shot and killed two people who were watching a banned World Cup soccer broadcast, a radio station reported Wednesday.

Muhammad (47):4 - "When you meet the unbelievers, smite their necks, then, when you have made wide slaughter among them, tie fast the bonds; then set them free, either by grace or ransom, till the war lays down its loads." All monotheisms are inherently dangerous to any notion of religious liberty: the Bible drips with just as much gore and blood as does the Koran. The difference is that Christianity underwent a "reformation", where large numbers gleefully tried to kill one another off because they didn't believe quite "correctly". This burnt the West out utterly on the concept of religious war, caused Christian theologians to become very loose in the interpretations of their scriptures to read out most of the commands to kill, and ultimately ushered in the Enlightenment. Islam has not yet undergone such a trail - perhaps that's what's starting up now. Thanks for the comment and Be well, Dave H.
