Wed, 02 Mar 2005 Pakistan rejects pro-women bill Here is the proof, spelled out in plain black and white: The parliament rejected the bill by a majority vote on Tuesday, declaring it to be un-Islamic. Therefore, so-call "honor killings" must be, in fact, Islamic. And viola: the "religion of peace" condones murder. The way the US government coddles and cozies up to these killers makes me ill. Pakistan government supporters ally with Islamists to reject a bill against "honour killing" of women. It's apparently netting fiction writers as well as pocket knife wielding honor students. I wonder if Stephen King could graduate from high school in this new millennium without at least one felony charge on his juvenile record? A fictional short story leads to a felony terrorism charge for an 18-year-old high school student... William Poole, an 18-year-old junior at George Rogers Clark High School in Winchester, Kentucky has been arrested and charged with a felony of making terrorist threats.
