Chinese Say They're Building 'Impossible' Space Drive

I love stories about impossible engineering like this! Remember when the Segway was rumored to be a high efficiency Stirling Engine?

Chinese researchers claim they've confirmed the theory behind an "impossible" space drive, and are proceeding to build a demonstration version. If they're right, it could open up new possibilities for space exploration and give the Chinese a decisive military advantage in space.

Bailout do-over passes Senate

So it was the Night of the Living Dead Bailout ... and almost to a man, our senators ignored the people they were elected to represent and caved to pressure from Wall Street and lobbyists.

Will we remember in two years, when half the miscreants come up for reelection?

The Senate passed a sweeping and controversial financial bailout similar in key ways to one rejected by the House just two days earlier. The measure was passed Wednesday night by a vote of 74-25, with Barack Obama and John McCain voting in favor.
