Expelled for Possession of a Butter Knife

The "zero tolerance" policy we should be protesting is the one that apparently bans any semblance of rationality from school administrators.

A South Carolina high school freshman has been expelled from school for possession of a butter knife.

The same thing happened at the high school here last year. A good, never-in-trouble kid drove his dad's car to school one day and an administrator noticed a cigarette lighter in it, so he was suspended for a week. It's ridiculous.

If I were you, I would immediately resign simply base on the fact that you have absolutely no common sense and are not fit to be a leader. Pathetic is the only word that comes to mind. Here is his response: I invite you to work in any public school in the USA. We take students who can not walk, talk, see, hear, stand, go to the bathroom, or speak English and make sure they are successful to the best of our abilities. You must work in a glass office. We have 1800 students from every background in the world and we make decisions based information that YOU DO NOT KNOW. It's nice to hid behind the e-mail system and your perfect world. I will not open another e-mail from you because you do not have a clue about the safety of students. Is a steak knife OK the next time? I have been working with children for 20 years, what do you do?
