AP - For years, the juvenile court system in Wilkes-Barre operated like a conveyor belt: Youngsters were brought before judges without a lawyer, given hearings that lasted only a minute or two, and then sent off to juvenile prison for months for minor offenses.

More Highway Robbery

This is an even more blatant case of pure theft than I've mentioned before, because this is a provable series of thefts - a gang of highwaymen, literally.

Didn't we used to hang highwaymen?

Asset forfeiture outrages have been generating great copy for 20 years. The public gets angry, and maybe a few people spotlighted in the local newspaper investigation get some portion of the property back. But then it's back to business as usual, at least until the next report.

Microsoft to follow Apple with its own family of retail stores

ROTFLMAO! I guess the copy machine still works in Redmond! I wonder if they'll have a special "Genius Bar" for customers virus laden or malware infected machines?

Microsoft is planning to launch a number of new Microsoft-branded retail stores, according to a company press release issued late in the day on February 12.
